When I was 16 i was such a Big fan of backstreet boys and They were HUGE all over the world, I even was a member of the fan club back then. We( my sister and I) used to save money to buy their posters and magazines. We had our bedroom cover with pictures of them. We recorded every song (cassette)and video (vhs) and every show they performed at. Our parents made a big effort to make us happy with this "hobby"!

They performed in Panama and I cried soooooo much because i couldn't go. It was IMPOSSIBLE, we were to poor LOL. So For me it was a DREAM that never came true....

UNTIL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That changed.. 12 years after,They perform in SLC and I was able to go and make that dream come true!!!
I know... They are 12 years older also hihihi But they still rock my heart and I'm still a Fan. It's Amazing how Heavenly Father answer your prayer even if it is 12 years later... But You know what??? HE DOES!!even with Something so silly like this.

So Last Wednesday I went to the Energy Solutions Arena and I screamed like a 15 year old girl and I dance like.. well, I move like a 28 year old (nothing to do there), let's just say I dance like crazy and I had sooooooooooo much Fun. Chris bought the tickets for mother's day. And he said:"If I HAVE to go with you, I'll go but if you want to go with somebody who would enjoy the music more..go ahead" So I asked my lovely friend/boss Britta. But she couldn't go(work) Leo a costarican friend went with me.( he was a huge fan also back in 90'S)
OK the concert was AWESOME!! And it was absolutely FULL sold out! Honestly i didn't expected so many people. BUT I LOVE LOVE THEM, HAHAHA

I definitely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my job.I have so much fun working with little kids and having the opportunity to have my kids with me at Spanish School. I love each of my 14 kids at Spanish Preschool .
This past weekend we participated in the Safety Kids Fair in Sandy. I had so much fun and I was being paid for it!! Seriously it's the best job in the world. My boss Britta and the other teacher Leidi are so nice, they make my job even better.

Abby is great! She is a Saint she let me do her hair however I want. She can sit for two hours and patiently ask..¨mom are you done¨ my poor little booger.She is just the best!
And Cosito Mio! My Chrisy is the sweetest boy, always saying funny things and making us laugh with his jokes: "mom.. what have more than 4 wheels and flies? A garbage truck!!".I'm so bleesed!!!!!

Abby is been asking for a baby sister since last Christmas (actually is what she wanted for Christmas) But I guess she have to play with her baby dolls for a while, we definitely want another baby but a Summer baby cuz Abby was born in November and Chris in September so.. we´ll work on that this fall!
In the mean time Abby entertain her self doing her daddy´s hair!!!

We went to Jump on It this afternoon and we had a blast, I love this place the kids exercise a lot and I can relax and read a little bit. So when we were heading back home as soon as you get on the road towards Geneva Rd. you see the factories around that area and suddenly Chris said:
" MOM,, I FINALLY KNOW WHAT THAT IS" I asked: what honey?, he just pointed to the factory and I said OH THE FACTORY? (Many times before he was arguing that the smoke was not a factory as we tried to explain to him, he always argued that it was "fire") Then he said Really really exited:"IT'S A CLOUD FACTORY!!!!!"
I couldn't stop laughing. I love the innocence of this age he is so smart, and so sweet!! He finally put it all together!

We had a very nice Christmas. Even dough we couldn't´t buy all the things they kids wanted, like the WII that Chris wanted but Santa Got him a PlayStation 2 and we think he is not old enough to realize the difference, He is really happy with it!!! Abby had the doll that she really wanted, And Chris and I had the car fixed LOL. We are so thankful for the happiness that the gospel brings to our lives and we ponder a lot about the blessings we have during this special times. Money and material things are the least important things during Christmas!!!
We are exited to start this new year with a fresh new attitude about life, more positive and with many plans for the year.

Letters to Santa

Today the kids wrote their letters to Santa. We had lunch at the mall. So the kids had the chance to give Santa the letters personally. Chris wrote the letter all by himself, he wants a wii but on his letter he wrote a "WEE". I love how he started:" Dear Santa, I've been good.... YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!
And Abby "wrote": OOOOOOOOOO which means dear Santa I want a dolly!

Crazy Hair Day at school

This are the pics of Chris and Abby at school. I'll post my pics later because I didn't take of me but the other teacher is going to send me some.
Abby choose the Pink Hair( of course). I wanted to braid her hair but different so I saw the Wendy's Girl an ad and that was my inspiration! But...how am I going to make this braids stay UP??? So I got some wire and put it around the pony tails and then I made the braid around the wire. Kid of hard to me to explain it with my poor English. Sorry
any way...
Chris just wanted to have green hair "Like Hulk".
We had soooooooooooooo much fun at school. I laugh so much, my students all had really crazy styles. I'll post more pics later.

Abby´s Mullet

This happened two days ago, we were getting ready to go to school and I went to the bathroom to find the comb to do Abby's hair. Abby was "waiting" for me at the kitchen counter. When I came back this is what i found:

She had crawled all the way to the wall on top of the kitchen counter and opened the drawer where my kitchen scissor are and CUT HER HAIR!!!!! I almost had a heart attack at first. Then I couldn't stop laughing, she made her self a "mullet" style.
But then I tried to do a pony tail and it didn't look so bad! I guess.
But like I said.. I guess this had to happen some time.

I can't believe how fast these 3 years had gone... Abby is turning 3 this Friday 20Th.
She is a wonderful girl, with a STRONG personality, and I mean STRONG!!! She is so funny, happy and smart.
She tell jokes like: mom.."why the chicken cross the street? cuz she had a baby chick on the other side" every time we say Abby don't do this or that she just look at us and make a silly face or come to us and hug us and say I love you! She is just such a manipulator! But it's cute dough.
Her favorite thing at 3 are: Color pink ( pink milk, pink dress, pink books, etc) Ariel and Tinkerbell, playing with her brother Her little purse fill with my stamps and ink( from my scrapbook supplies) Her favorite song right know is party in the USA from Miley Cyrus. Her favorite movie is Pinocchio.
Every morning she cries because she wants to put on a dress or whatever SHE wants which is NEVER what mom picks for her. During the day she changes her clothes like 4 or 5 times, She just loves to dress up.She is just such a girly girl.

She is going to Spanish preschool and she loves it. I'm glad she likes her teacher LOL(me).
She enjoys coloring (unfortunately in my furniture, refrigerator door, and some walls too)so much. She loves her brother and they play and run around the house ALL THE TIME! He makes her laugh so much. She calls him CRISIE.
I'm thankful for the joy she bring to our family and the smiles she puts and our faces every day.

Abby is now enjoying Halloween more than ever, i guess she understands the whole concept now.
Today She dress up by her self!!! (she is into that "independent stage")and asked me to put make up on her, Princess makeup of course. And she asked me to curl her hair, She ASKED FOR IT!!!!!! and I'm thinking she is only 3 (not even 3 yet, she'll be 2 for one more month) can't imaging when she'll be 15. wow, here we go....

Adrian received all the talks all ready and he have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel. He know joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Adrian wants to get baptized but he needs to go back to Colombia to his wife and baby and he wants to share his testimony with his family there and then get baptized.
Our ward throw a party to welcome my brother into our ward. I'm so happy to see his life change and be blessed!

I´m sorry i haven´t post lately, and this is why:I´m back to work; after 5 years of being a "stay at home mom".
YES, i am a Spanish teacher at the McKee Language School in Orem. I love it.
Heavenly father knows that being a preschool teacher always been my dream and finally he gave me the opportunity to practice what i learned in college back in Costa Rica.
This is such a great experience I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! The kids are great, so sweet.
Of course not everything is color pink, I have a really hard time leaving Abby to go to work, My mom is watching her by now, But Mom is going back to CR next week so... We have a babysitter, It is so hard for me. Its a mix of feelings I´m really exited about my new job but the guilt of leaving Abby is killing me. I know I Know.... but its inevitable to feel it.
Its just crazy, I´m still cleaning during the nights too. Busy busy busy. My days are so short now.... I guess is just the transition from homemaker to ¨professional¨
Lil´Chris is coming to Spanish school with me, so we don´t have to worry about him.

Abby was so patient today, She is the best... seriously I am a frustrated hair dresser and she is my guinea pig (my poor girl).

I'm Back....

It's been so long since i post something....sorry I've being really busy, my mom and my brother are visiting me so we are always out or doing something.... any way I'm back. I am having so much fun with them going everywhere and showing them places and stuff...

I'm working more hours during the night which is really good for our budget! and really bad for my family( cuz i have so little time for them, basically NO time together at night anymore cuz i leave at 6 and Chris gets back from work at 6 and sometimes later!).But we'll figure something to fix that.

My kids are really happy with their Tita here and their Uncle Adrian. And they help me a lot at home: Adrian is a cook so of course its a blessing having him as the official Cook! And my mom babysits for me when I have something to do, that is a HUGE help because I am a little of a control freak and overprotective mom so I don't trust my kids to anybody but Rand and my mom besides my husband of course.

We( Mom, Adrian and I)are going to Zumba and we love it.Its a mix of aerobics with Latin dance and we are pretty exited about it,I lack a lot of discipline when its about work out and sports but I love to dance so I guess this is my thing. So far... so good!

Work, Family, friends everything is really good.
I'm so thankful for all the blessings that my heavenly father gives me everyday!

FHE Warrior!

OK.. so FHE always been hard for us with the kids, they just don't pay attention and want to play and laugh and make noises and stuff.... But this last Monday we had a great FHE.
We have this book called 52 Weeks of Family Night by Tamara Baggett. My husband and I love this book the lessons are short and easy to teach . We colored and cut the lessons index (its a picture index) so the kids choose one from a box. Any way.. this past Monday It was my turn to teach the lesson and the kids choose "God's Armor" it teaches about how the Nephites protected them selves with all this armor and weapons and how the Lamanites were afraid of that and they didn't want to fight, and how we can protect ourselves from the enemy too with God's Armor which is The Sword of the Spirit, the Helmet of Salvation, the breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shield of Faith, the book of Mormon and the bible Shin Guards. You got the idea?? OK so we decided to "make an Armor for Chris (cuz Abby didn't want to) with his bike helmet and chin guards and some other items from the house,he was so happy- he took it to heart!

Doggy!!! We have a new puppy!
The kids have been asking for a doggy for almost a year already, but we felt that they were not ready; until now.
But this last month after praying about it, we felt it is time to adopt a new baby.
Chris decided to named him "Jet" but Randall calls him "YIYO".He is two months old Schnauzer Salt and pepper color and is a really happy and active puppy.
He is so sweet, i think we are spoiling him too much.
I'm so thankful for my lovely Landlords and Friends Marcelo and Alicia that they allow us to have a doggy at home. We couldn't have better landlords.!!! THANKS Chicos!
Its great to see Chris and Abby being chased by the dog laughing so hard!
House training....so far i think he is doing OK, but we have to keep working (as a team) on that. At least he is not pooping inside any more, and we had only a couple of wee wee accidents inside this week.

I'm so thankful for all the wonderful things my husband do for me and for the kids. He is the best daddy in the world (I know every wife says that) .
Once a week Chris takes the kids out for some "daddy and kids alone time" that means NO MOM and the kids enjoy it so much!
Sometimes they go to kangaroo zoo and sometimes they go to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Devin Ti dwell is the missionary who baptized my husband almost 4 years ago. He live in Provo and we are sooooooo thankful for his friendship. He is married now and have a beautiful baby boy, Asher.

They visited us last night and we had supper together. They are so sweet, we love them. The kids call them "Tio Devin and Tia Lashell" and "primo Asher".

Thanks Davin and Lashell we love to spend time with you and you guys are a blessing in our life!

It was so great to see Rand and Chris being brothers and take care of their sister and specially it was amazing see them as uncles!! My Father in law Victor was so happy to see his kids together and to have 3 of his 4 grandchildren here in his lap watching TV! That meant the world for him

VEGAS BABY!!!!

We needed to bring Kari to Vegas of course!! Now we had a perfect excuse to go plus we really needed vacations.
We decided to spend three days there but we had so much fun that ended up staying one more day!
I did some research online about what hotel we should stayed and I found this wonderful hotel new on the area and with really really good reviews from previews guests: South Point Hotel. Well I was afraid that we were going to get there and find something completely different of the pictures of their website....SURPRISE...... it was even better! We loved it! The rooms were huge(500 sf) and everything so fancy and new (the rooms also) they have Bath and Body Works Toiletries an awesome view from our room and great pool and jacuzzi.The casino amazing and the buffet even better. But what was the best part??? The price. Incredibly affordable for the luxury you get.

We had a lot of fun... everything there is amazing; the pirates show at the TI, the lions at the MGM, the volcano explosion at the Mirage and my favorite: The fountain show at the Bellagio. and many other places that we visited. There are so many things to do... in four days we didn't finish all we had planned.

The kids loved the pool and the weather were perfect.

This was one of my favorite vacations and I'm sure the kids will remember it forever!

I just wish we had taken better pictures! But anyway we'll visit again!

Karina's Visit

Chris' sister came to visit us from Canada, what a blast!!! She came with her son Stephen who is 7 ( he'll be 8 in a couple of weeks). I love Karina she is one of the funniest persons I've known and she is a wonderful mother and a great wife, I really admire her so much!

The kids had being counting the days and literally crossing the days on the calendar.
Randy ( Karina's husband) drove from Kingston to Syracuse, NY and there Kari and Stephen flew to Salt Lake.Unfortunately Randy couldn't come with them, but I'm sure next time he'll come over. That was a long trip, they got here around 10 a.m a great time to spend the day together updating each family with the latest news.

We were super exited; but my Father in law was completely emotional, they hadn't see each other for 3 years.

Monday night we were ready to take the kid to bed.. We aske the kids to go upstairs to brush their teeth and pray and my poor little booger run through the livingroom and stumble rigth next to the couch falling and bumping his head ( HARD) on the bottom part of the couch wich is made of wood, He hit his head so hard that he started to throw up, Like most of you mom's know that is not a good thing after a head injury! SO we just run to the ER it was 10:15 p.m and Abby was so tired she was ready to go to bed. In that momment we tough Who can come and stay with her?? Well it was late and we did not wanted to botter our friends so, I tough maybe I'lll stay here with her and Christian will take Lil' chris to the hospital, but Chris wanted both of us with him ( he was crying so hard!!!) so we called the McDonalds and they say we could leave Abby with them.>> They are so nice ( they had helped us so much in so many ways!!! THANK YOU Cindy and Dennis).

In the ER the Doctors said that it was better to screan the brain to make sure it wasn't damaged so They did a CT Scan. Chris was so good!! Following the directions of the nurse and really quite and nice!

I was proud of him!! HAHAHA all the doctors and nurses were complimenting Chris for being a great boy!

Any way... The results of the tests were normal but they found a Sinus infection.

Chris was asking the Doctor if he could see the "Brain Pictures" and when the Doctor showed him the images Chris was all puzzle and said:"It's that my brain???_ Are those things.. all of my ideas???" He asked, and the nurse and the doctor stared to laugh!!!

We are so thankful he was fine, but we were scared! Now he is taking an antibiotic for his sinus infection But he is so SAD today cuz he wanted to go to preschool so bad!! and the Doctor said that he should stay at home for at lease 5 days!

We had a BLAST! We really had a lot of fun having Emma, jack and Luke over for play day!

We had Pizza for lunch and Emma baked cookies for dessert ( we miss her cookies so much she make the best cookies in the world!, when we lived in the duplex she baked all the time and shared with us!)

I love this picture! You can tell the cookies were a huge Succes!

I told Chris that Emma, Jack and Luke were comming over to play and since he woke up this morning he is been asking: Mom is Emma here yet? and around 10:30 He sat on the window waiting for them!

Chris was so happy to have a boy to share his cars and Trucks with! and Abby was so fascinated by Baby Luke she was asking if she could hold him ,,, and I sat her next to me and I let her hold Luke ( i was holding him too ) Baby Luke look bigger than Abby! LOL

They played tag and pick-a-boo,cars and more! The 3 kids were sad when it was time to go! But We'll get together soon!

Finally!! We went to the hair salon today, Abby needed a haircut so bad! Her bangs were too long and her fine hair was just too messy. She was so good! The lady who cut her hair was really nice and sweet and Abby love the whole experience!!! I really like her new hairstyle; I have to say it was inspired by my dear supervisor at work Mary Kate who have a similar haircut!

Hello everybody!! sorry I haven't post in forever. We've being bussy, but I'll try to resume the last 2 months.

Thanksgiving: We had Lunch with a wonderful family from the ward: The McDonals, they are just such loving people, they new that we don't have family here so they invited us for lunch,That made my week! because i felt so much love and being around their family made me remember the hollidays with my family. Any way .. after that, we had dinner at home with Will and Marce and their kids, they are costaricans too and they don't have family around neither so we got together and that was fun Will is just hilarious, and we had a wonderful time! The kids play and play and play all night long!

Next morning we went to see Santa arriving to the mall in a helicopter, the kids where amazed by how cool and modern santa is getting! LOL It was freezing! { I still have a hard time during winter, my body miss 75 degrees all year COSTA RICAAAAAA BUAHHHH! :( }

After watching Santa arriving ( that was it) at the mall we went inside and had Ice Cream and walked around( I love to see the decorations in the stores! )Then we went home for a nap! We had a lot of fun!Christmas Eve: In Costa Rica we celebrate Christmas Eve and not Christmas Morning so we tried to do the same this year. We invite Will and Marce over and have a yummy yummy dinner and dance salsa and merengue and talked and laugh a lot waiting for midnight. At midnight ( the kids were still awake playing and running around) we gather around the christmas tree and brought Baby Jesus to the nativity set and we said a prayer and then the kids got their presents. When I was growing up ( in CR of course) our parents never tough us about Santa and I'll dare to say that Santa Clause is not a Costarican tradition, at least not when I was growing up maybe now ( because of the comercialization and the opening of american companies and stores in my country).... SO our parents tough us that baby Jesus brings the presents when he is born and that with the presents he brought the most important of all gifts: Salvation to the world!.

But living in USA... is almost imposible to tell that to the kids because Santa Clause is everywhere and no mater what...they believe in santa( because they are 4 and 2 ) So we went with the santa version of christmas this year and probably will keep it! But we also try to keep in their minds that is Jesus' birthday.

We had a really great christmas, I think this is the first year that I don't get depresed by the holidays ( YAYYYY) cause every year for the last 7 years I got Homesick SOOOOO BAD!

Thanks to all of our friends that care about us and that love us so much!!

Santa gave Abby her first bike and the rescue pack ( she is obsesed with Diego) , to Chris Ben 10 alien creation set ( Chris loves this show and some days he is not Chris ...he is Ben Tennyson..), and some cars.

Le doy gracias a Dios por la maravillosa madre que eligio para mi! Soy bendecida de mil maneras pero mi madrecita es la mayor alegria y la mayor bendicion en mi vida por que gracias a ella estoy donde estoy y soy lo que soy!
Mi mama es una mujer extraordinaria y ha sido un ejemplo de superacion y de fortaleza para mi. Me ha ensenado a ser mujer a ser mama, a cocinar jiji a ser hermana a ser buena esposa a ser paciente y gracias a ella hoy dia soy lo que soy!
Mami ha sacado adelante a sus 4 hijos sola, sin un hombre que la apoye ni economicamente ni moral ni espiritualmente.
Mami ha tenido el apoyo de su mami ( tita) y de sus hermanas en momentos dificiles y gracias a ellas tambien por tanta ayuda.
Mami ha sido bendecida de mil maneras en estos 55 anitos!
Sus 4 hijos somos buenas personas ( modestia aparte) y esto gracias a ella!!
Mami ha sido una exelente hermana y una extraordinaria hija siempre apoyando a sus hermanos en momentos duros y luchando por demostrarles su amor y apoyo,Como tia me atrevo a decir que una de las tias favoritas de la familia jijiji siempre incondicional con sus sobrinos sin ningun tipo de diferencia con ninguno de ellos!
Mami tuvo una ninez muy dificil pero no fue un problema para que ella nos diera un exelente ejemplo de superacion y de lucha! Mami ha posdido superar muchas cosas dificiles en la vida que yo misma me cuestiono si yo tendria la fuerza para superar lo que ella ha podido!
Dios le ha dado muchas virtudes y talentos pero el mayor de todos ha sido el talento de amar y de ser mama.

yo hablo por todos tus hijos hoy cuando te digo que estamos muy orgullosos de ti y agradecidos por tantisimos sacrificios que nisiquiera se pueden escribir aqui porque no alcanzarian las palabras, tu has sacrificado desde tu juventud hasta tu propia persona, tu propia felicidad como mujer con tal de que tus hijos no les faltara nada!
Y como exelente madre que eres siempre te preocupaste por nuestro bienestar fisico y emocional y has llorado muchas lagrimas de " cortar cebolla" ( esos nos decias para que no nos preocuparamos) para protejernos de muchos dolores que tu solita tragaste por nosotros!
Nos has defendido de mil peligros y de millones de cosas desde un nino que nos golpeo con una bola hasta de profesores injustos! siempre has puesto tu cara por nosotros y todavia lo haces!! Sigues sufriendo cuando nosotros sufrimos- te alegras cuando nosotros estamos alegres y se que estas muy orgullosa de nosotros porque siempre nos lo haces saber.
Y ahora como abuelita has demostrado que ese increible amor que uno no creia posible de que existiera algo mayor...ha crecido y amas a tus nietos tanto como a tus hijos! y ellos lo saben.
Mami... El amor que sentimos tus hijos por ti no se puede explicar y no es de este mundo: Es un amor eterno que va mas alla de la distancia y del tiempo y hasta de la muerte porque este amor es por la eternidad!!!
Gracias...mil gracias por dedicar tu vida entera a ser mama y a formarnos y apoyarnos en nuestras buenas decisiones y gracias por estar siempre ahi para levantarnos cuando hemos fallado y cuando hemos tomado malas decisiones. This year we really really enjoyed Halloween... because the kids are big enough to understand whats going on. And big enough to choose their costumes ( Abby not so much yet ).

Christian was a vampire and I was Little red riding hood ( not so little lol) I know pretty random but.. Who cares if you are having so much fun with Friends and family!

Our Friends Will and Marcela and their kids joined us for the day and we had a wonderful night.

Abby and Chris were so happy that they really really mean it when they said : "happy Halloween" to the people.

I think this is my favorite Holiday ( maybe because we don't celebrate it in Costa Rica so its new and different for us as adults..)

We celebrated our kids birthday party last saturday, it was so much fun!!!
The team was Abby Cadabby and Elmo.
I had a very busy week preparing everything for the party, I'm not the best at crafts because i'm not very creative but I decided that for this year birthday party I've got involved in the decoration...so I made one of the pinatas ( Abby's) and the party favor boxes and also the the games surprises, we also baked the cupcakes anda decorated ( Cristian's aunt helped me)I enjoyed it so much !! ( more than I expected, to be honest!!) and finally everything was a success at the party!
I want to thank all of our friends and familly for sharing this day with us, and for those who could't be there Thanks to for the support!!!
We had yummi food! and games for parents and little ones! My kids where soooooooo happy!
I allways think about my familly in Costa Rica in this special dates, and i miss them awefully but I know that some day we'll be togheter again and that their love is allways with us besides the distance.

This morning while i took a shower, my dear little princess found something really "cool" in the bathroom cabinets, and when I saw her and ask her: Abby what did you find??? Whit a huge smile she happily aswered: "TICKERSS" ( stickers) I could not stop laughing and I run to my room to get my camera and here you can see her new cool stickers , she tough htey were so cool she even started to decorate my living room with them!!!

Real Salt Lake vs Saprisa!!!!

Last night we went to see the Real Salt Lake play against Costa Rica's team Deportivo Saprisa, and guess who won..... OUR TEAM: Saprisa!!! OE OE OE OEEEE Ticoos Ticoooos!!!!! We spend a wonderful time at the stadium, we only brought little Chris because we realized that Abby is to young to actually enjoy this kind of activity! So Randall babysat for us. There were only around 20 Costaricans in the whole stadium and the rest: Americans, but boy.... we were loud!!!!! LOL every time Costa Rica scored that stadium bounced and shook from our songs and jumping... We scored two goals and the Americans around us looked at us like if we were crazy hahaha and they are right when it is about soccer we are passionate and crazy!!! And when the Real Salt Lake scored the last goal of the game (final scored: CR:2 RSL:1) we were clapping too, because they play it good to! So in general was a great game. We got the chance to met more Costaricans ( around 6 or 7), and I realized how we love our people, when they saw us with the Costarican flag painted in our faces they all approached and ask us what town we were from and how long we been living here, they were sooo happy to see us like were to..because there are not many Costarican here in Utah, so we exchange telephone numbers and addresses. After the game we enjoyed the beautiful fire works.

We went to Scera Pools with the kids.. this is kind of big for them: the poor things have being at home the last couple of months avoiding pools and sun (preparing for the surgery) so today was one of the most fun days for them.... They love the water... !

Chris & Abby got surgery!!!!!

Yesterday Chris and Abby got surgery. Abby had tubes inserted in her ears and Chris had the same plus adenoidectomy ( adenoids removed).
At first ( I'm not goin to lie) we where really scared, cause they never got surgery before, and as a parent you don't want your kids to suffer any kind of pain.
It was a little scary they both would had the same surgery the same day cause i didn't know how bad they would feel after it.

The night before the surgery we pray a lot and ask for patience and serenity while they had the procedure.
We had to be at the clinic at 6:30 in the morning,Chris and I woke up and got ready and after we were ready we woke up the kids and seat them in the car( still half asleep and in their pajamas).
We got there and they have a waiting room with toys and TV so the kids where busy and playing while we sign up some documents.
After 10 minutes the nurse came and call us, she took us to a different room and then they ask us to change their pajamas and get them in the shirts that the clinic provided.
Then the Dr. Herras came and talk to us and explain the procedure (again) and she answer all our questions ( we didn't had much to ask ).
After 5 minutes in that room another nurse came and ask Abby to go with her, we where surprise that she hop in the nurse arms with no fuss. I was scared but i couldn't show that because we still had Chris with us...
After 10 minutes a different nurse came and ask Chris to go with her and blow a pink balloon ( the anesthesia mask). They had a wagon and Chris hop in the wagon and play driving it while they took him away... Chris and I where so anxious to know what was going on inside but we just had to way...
The nurses asked us to go to a different room ( recovering room) and wait there. they gave us the biggest room they have because we had two patients.
We didn't wait much there maybe 10 minutes maybe less but seemed long for me, Then we saw Abby in the arms of a nurse and they came to us, Abby was soooo calm and content! As soon s she saw us she jump in to my arms. Immediately Daddy wanted to hold his baby girl and took her from my arms. She didn't cry but was really really quite.
Then the nurse brought apple juice and Popsicles that Abby ate like she never had one before lol.
After 20 minutes maybe... A nurse brought Little Chris and he was still drudged and half asleep he tried to hold his head up but he couldn't..and as soon as he saw us he stared to cry and scream: i have a boo boo help me mommy help me daddy! that broke my heart. He tried to take his IV out and pull it several times but we ask the nurse if he still need that and she said it was OK to take it out then so she took it out. He cry sooo hard and scream for about 40 minutes we felt so bad cause we couldn't do anything to make him feel better, It was horrible cause we tough he was in pain, but the nurse later explain to us that was just the sickness and sensation of disorientation when they are waking up from the anesthesia.

After those 40 minutes he felt better and better and ask for water.Then the Dr. came and gave us the instructions for home and we where out of there ,,, I mean they are awesome people but i really wanted to be at home taking care of them.

On our way home we asked them if they were hungry and they asked for pancakes and juice!! That was a good sign they were hungry!!!!

And then we stop at Denny's and had breakfast and went home and they being feeling better and better and actually last night they where running and jumping normally!

Now.. we just have to keep an eye on them until the follow up appointment with the doctor.

Stadium Of Fire!!! 4th OF JULY

Wow!!!! never in my life we had seen a show like this before!
This 4Th of July we spend the most exited 4t of July in our life so far in the Stadium of Fire in Provo.
It was absolutely awesome! The kids where soooo excited..
Abby's favorite: was Hanna Montana she was Miley Cyrus not Hanna for this concert but Abby didn't notice the difference she was dancing and singing the whole time!
My father in law came with us and his favorite part was the army jets flying on top of us,
Little Chris' mouth dropped to the floor when he saw the skydivers in the sky and landing right there in front of us.
Chris favorite part was The blue man, they made us laugh and dance and scream like crazy!!! My favorite was the dancers i can't believe the way so many dancers coordinate such a perfect show that last for 7 minutes!!! It's hard to choose a favorite part of the show because the whole concert was unbelievable.
That's definitely one night that we'll never forget.
THANKS TO MIKE & EMMA THAT GAVE US THE TIKETS...YOU GUYS PUT THE EXCLAMATION POINT IN OUR LIFE!!!

Wow! Nunca en nuestra vida habiamos visto un show como este!
Este 4 de Julio lo pasamos en el estadio del fugo en provo.
Fue espectacular los ninos estaban tan tan contentos y no odian ni creer lo que veian.
La parte favorita de Abby fue el concierto de Hanna Montana, bueno esta vez era Miley Cyrus pero abby no noto la diferencia ella canto y bailo tooodo el tiempo!
Mi suegro nos acompano y su parte favorita fue los jets del army volando encima de nosotros.
Crisito se le callo l boca al piso cuando vio a los paracaidistas saltando de la avioneta y aterrizar en frente de nosotros!
La parte favorita de Chris fue los blue man que nos hicieron bailar y cantar y gritar como locos! Demasiado chiva!!!!
Mi pate favorita fueron las bailarias, no puedo creer que tantas bailarinas (eran un monton mas de 150) bailen tan cordinadas en este espectacular montaje que duro 7 minutos!!! Es dificil escojer tu parte favorita porque todo el cncierto fue maravilloso.
Esta fue una noche que nunca olvidaremos!

GRACIAS A MIKE Y A EMMA QUE NOS REGALARON LOS TICKTES.... USTEDES DEFINITIVAMENTE LE PONEN LOS SIGNOS DE EXCLAMACION A NUESTRA VIDA!

We love our new house!!!!

Yeah! We finally move to a house. This is the 5Th time we move in 6 years and pray and hope this is the last one.The moving process is exhausting physically and mentally ... we packed and move in two days. And the cleaning and unpacking was worse: took us two weeks to finally unpack and put everything in order. BUT FINALLY we are settled now.
The kids LOVE this house they have their play room and the yard is really safe! We just got Internet cable and phone this week so that's why i haven't post lately!
I'll post some pics later on.

SIII! por fin nos mudamos a una casa!. Esta es la quint vez que nosmudamosen un periodo de 6 anos y le pido a Dios que esta sea la ultima ! El proceso de mudanza es agotador fisica y emocionalmente...empacamos todo y nos mudamos en dos dias. Y la limpiaza y ladesempacada fue peor: nos tomo dos semanas para finalmente desempacar todo y poner todo en orden. PERO POR FIN ya nos acomodamos.

Los ninos aman esta casa claro porque tienen su propio cuarto de juegos y el patio es muy seguro!
Hasta esta semanama me instalaron los servicios de internet , cable y telefono... por eso no habia escrito nada ultimamente.
Luego pongo fotitos!

Sorry.. Chris and Abby have being sick for a couple of months ( ear infection after ear infection- both- Chris might need tubes in his ears but nothing sure yet!) so I just haven't post lately.

Here are some pictures we took from Abby and Chris that we took around two months ago! I know..two months ago!! We really love the profesional pics for our kids and my last visiting teaching companion is an AWESOME photographer: Emily Thorton; she is the best! I definetly recommend her, believe it or not Abby was crying the whole time and Em capture great smiles which i don't remember lol from the photo sesion! Please check her website in my links!

Tonight we had an awesome surprise!!! Mike ( el che gringo lol) came over ,and it was so good to see him again. Specially after a long day of estrangers walking by my apartment.( Our landlord had an "open house" today cause he need to rent our apartment.. any way, it was a long day and seeing mike's smile and energy make everything go away!) Hopefully we'll see Emma and Jack Jack soon to!!

I miss them so much Emma and Mike have being such a great support and their love remind me the love from my family in CR, so unconditional and pure!

THANKS MIKE!! You made our day with your visit! Heavenly Father surely knows when to send a friend to make you feel better!

Chris y Abby han estado enfermitos durante varios meses ya!( infeccion de oido tras infeccion de oido- los dos- Chris es lo mas probable que tengan que operarle sus ioditos e insetarle tubitos pero no hay nada seguro seguro todavia!) por eso no he vuelto a escribir nada!
Aqui estan unas fotos que les sacamos a Abby y Chris hace como dos meses! Ya se..hace DOS meses!! Nos encanta llevarlos a foto estudios donde les toman lindas fotos , esta vez mi ultima companera de maestras visitantes es una fotografa profesional: Emily Thorton ella es la mejor! Logro capturar hermosas sonrisas de Abby quien no colaboro mucho porque paso llorando toda la sesion de fotos,,,Increible!! cuando vi las fotos no recorde en que momento ella estuvo tan feliz! Jajaja Bueno.. en fin hechenle un vistazo al website de ella en mi lista de links!

Esta noche recivimos una gran sorpresa!!! Mike ( el che gringo jajaja) vino a visitarnos, y fue tan grato verlo otra vez. Especialmente despues de un largo y estresado dia de gente extraña caminado por mi casa( nuestro casero tuvo una "open house" porque el necesita rentar nuestro lugar antes de que nos mudemos... bueno en fin fue un largo dia y ver la sonrisa de mike y esa energia que proyecta hizo que todo eso se nos olvidara!) Espero ver a Emma y a Jack Jack prontito tambien.

Los extrañamos muchisimo; Emma y Mike han sido un gran apoyo y su amor me recuerda mucho al amor de mi familia en CR ; tan incondicional y puro!

What a Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter. Chris and Abby found a lot of eggs. Our neighborhood organized the egg hunt and we have SO much fund. I was surprise to see Abby; she was a pro! This was her first egg hunt and she filled her basket to the top. Chris was running and so focused in the hunt that he felt like a pirate finding a treasure. ( Boys will be boys!!!). We also talked to the kids about what we really celebrate this day: Our Savior resurrection that’s the most important thing!

Pasamos un maravilloso Dia de Pascua. Chris y Abby encontrarton muchisisimos huevitos. En nuestro bencindario nos organizamos para que los ninos tuvieran un dia muy lindo. Nos sorprendimos de ver a Abby; toda una experta! Esta era su primera busqueda de huevitos y ella lleno su canastita hsta el tope. Chris estaba corriendo y tan concentrado en la busqueda que se sintio como todo un pirata en su busqueda por el tesoro. ( los ninos siempre seran ninos). Tambien les explicamos de lo que verdaderamente celebramos hoy: La resureccion de nuestro salvador y que eso es lo mas importante de todo!

Wow,, I never tough that changing lil' Chris' car seat would be the big deal in my family...Abby went through the same change ( from baby car seat to a toddler car seat) at the same time...This made me realize that I have no babies any more!!!!!! My kids are big now. Lil' Chris choose his own booster seat, he is sooooo exited about it: " I'm a big boy now.." he said. He is really proud that he uses the "big" seat belt. And Abby she is more than happy, She is always singing and "dancing" in her new car seat. This transition is awesome-this day Chris and I felt so proud of our "babies".

Es increible,, nunca pense que cambiarle la sillita del carro a Chrisito seria la gran cosa en mi familia, pero Abby cambio de sillita al mismo tiempo ( de bebe a silla de nina)... Esto me hizo darme cuenta que ya no tengo bebes!!!!!! Mis gorditos ya estan grandesitos. Chrisito fue a la tienda y escogio su propia sillita, esta taaaan contento al respecto: "Ya soy un nino grande ..." dice. El esta super orgulloso que ahora usa el cinturon de "grandes". Y Abby, bueno ella no se cambia por nadie, esta siempre cantando y "bailando" en su sillita nueva. Este gran cambio is genial- este dia chris y yo nos sentimos super super orgullosos de nuestros "bebes".

El Sabado 23 de Febrero vivimos uno de los momentos mas lindos en la vida de un LDS. Mi esposo bautizo a los tres niños de la Familia Ortega: Axiri, Bryan y Paola ellos son muy lindos y especiales y han estado estudiando el evangelio por varios meses y tomaron la decisión de ser miembros de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días. El Bautizo estuvo muy lindo todo el mundo lloro mucho ( la presencia del espíritu santo fue muy fuerte) Yo hice la oración principal y La mama de los niños: Viky cerro con una oración muy hermosa, ella estaba sumamente emocionada de ver que sus niños han empezado una misión en sus vidas: ellos son el instrumento de Dios para brindar el evangelio a sus antepasados y a sus futuras generaciones.
Fue un Día muy especial!!!!

Little Chris needs glasses

Hace unos días chris empezó con un tic nervioso ( al menos eso parecía),,, parpadeaba mas fuerte de lo normal y se quejaba de tener sus ojitos irritados! Obvio que como yo soy media estresada con esas cosas... lo lleve a primera hora al oculista. Lo hubieran visto- todo un caballerito-se porto de maravilla y el doctor me felicito por el comportamiento de el..( esos son los momentos donde no me cambio por nadie! jaja).
Resulta que tiene miopía: no ve de largo. Y entonces le mandaron a utilizar anteojitos, por dicha encontramos unos muy buenos ( childproof) que no se quiebran ni se rayan con tanta facilidad como los normales.
Pero el esta feliz que puede usar anteojos como magenta ( Blue's clues); por dicha chris y yo sabemos como manejar este tipo de situaciones para que el se sienta muy bien.
